As you revel in the beauty of Kansas City fireworks shows, remember the hidden heroes of the holiday—our pets. Fireworks can be a source of fear for many animals, leading them to flee in search of safety. At Axcet HR Solutions, we know this firsthand, as many of our employees are devoted pet owners.
Our commitment to the well-being of pets goes beyond our homes and into our community. Through our annual Dog Days of Summer pet food, supplies and cash donation drive, we support local rescues such as KC Pet Project and The Rescue Project. Additionally, our Pill Bottles for Puppies initiative benefits Wayside Waifs, ensuring that essential supplies reach those in need.
This Fourth of July, join us in making a difference. Keep your pets indoors and safe, and consider supporting local shelters that work tirelessly during this busy season. Organizations in the Kansas City Metro, like KC Pet Project, work diligently ahead of the Fourth of July to make room for the influx of pets. In fact, the day after Independence Day, July 5, is the busiest intake day at local shelters.
Together, we can make this holiday a joyous and safe celebration for all—humans and animals alike.
