There's still plenty of time to visit a local pumpkin patch! It's a great way to usher in the change in seasons, support local farmers and pick a pumpkin or two from the patch to carve into a jack-o'-lantern! Here are our favorite Kansas City pumpkin patches on both sides of the state line:
About Carolyn's: This working farm is open every day of the week except Tuesdays and Wednesdays, from September 16 through October 30. Sunday and Monday, visit between 10 a.m. and 6 p.m. On Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays the farm is open from 10 a.m. until 7 p.m. Features include a pumpkin patch; pumpkinator; petting farm; jumping pillows; wagon rides; train rides; carousel rides; pig races and live music on the weekends; and more.
Single tickets range from $18.95 on weekdays to $21.95 - $32.95 on weekends depending on add-on activities. Admission includes a train ride, a spin on the carousel, the petting barn, a wagon ride into the pumpkin field, and dozens of other activities. About Liberty Corn Maze: While not a pumpkin patch, Liberty Corn Maze is located right next to Carolyn’s Pumpkin Patch and combo tickets are offered for both attractions. This year’s corn maze theme is KC Current. Four different corn mazes highlight The Kansas City Current, our hometown American professional women's soccer team.
The corn maze is open Fridays (5 - 10 p.m.), Saturdays (10 a.m. - 10 p.m.) and Sundays (10 a.m. - 5 p.m.) October 17 - 29.
Admission is $15.17 for adults (ages 13 and up) and $13.28 for children (ages 3 - 12).
Be sure to wear clothes suitable for being outdoors, including shoes that could get muddy. For nighttime corn maze goers, don’t forget a flashlight! About Louisburg Cider Mill: The Louisburg Cider Mill pumpkin patch and corn maze, located at 14730 K68 Highway in Louisburg, Kansas, is open daily from September 15 through October 31. Hours of operation are Monday through Thursday from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. ($12.99 admission fee), Fridays and Saturdays from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. ($15.99 admission fee), and Sundays from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. ($15.99 admission fee).
Admission includes access to the 10-acre Kansas City pumpkin patch, corn maze, hay wagon ride, children's play area, spider web climber, mount sunflower slide, farm animals, corn crib, tricycle track, orchard trail, tire tower, learning barn, beehive exhibit, giant swing set.
Pumpkins, jump pillow bands, and food and drinks are sold separately. Pumpkins range in price from $3 - $25. This year’s corn maze theme is Apple's Were Made for One Reason - Cider!

About the Farm: Johnson Farms is a 140-acre working farm that features over 50 acres of pumpkins and other decorative fall produce, plus apple trees, gorgeous fall mums, a sunflower field, farm animals, and a children’s play area.
New for 2023: Giant Adventure Barn and Coach Reid corn maze.
Johnson Farms is located southwest of Belton, Missouri, at 177th and Holmes Road.
Johnson Farms is open every day from September 23 through October 31 from 10 a.m. - 6 p.m. The latest entrance into the pumpkin farm at 5 p.m. and the last hayride at 5:30 p.m. Admission is $13.99 on weekdays and $16.99 on weekends. About Powell: One of the most traditional pumpkin patches in Kansas City, Powell boasts free access to its 35-acre pumpkin patch, hayrack rides, a nature trail and playground.
Admission to the corn maze is $5.00 for adults (ages 12 and over) and $3 for children (ages 6-12). Pumpkins can be purchased in varying amounts.
Powell is open daily from September 23 through October 31 from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. through October 31 and is located at 25695 Spring Valley Road in Louisburg, Kansas. The corn maze closes at 5 p.m.

About KC Pumpkin Patch: Located right in Olathe, Kansas, family-owned KC Pumpkin Patch offers more than 50 attractions for children and adults including the barrel train, NINJA course, zip lines, Slides, games, farm animals and pumpkin patch admission.
Hours of operation are Fridays through Sundays from September 23 through October 29 from 10 a.m. - 8 p.m. Tickets are available online for $17.95.

About Faulkner's: Located in South Kansas City, Faulkner’s Pumpkin Ranch spans 25 acres and includes a corn maze, petting farm and play area with more than 25 interactive activities. All pumpkins are pre-picked and available at an additional fee.
Hours of operation are September 29 through October 29 on Tuesdays through Thursdays from 3:00 - 7:00 p.m. and Fridays - Sundays from 10 a.m. - 6 p.m. Admission to the play area for wagon rides, field maze, petting zoo and more is $15 (plus tax) on Tuesday - Thursday and $20 (plus tax) on Friday - Sunday. An extra $5 fee applies for those who wish to pay for admission at the gate.

About Wornall House: Holding the reputation as one of the most haunted locations in Kansas City, the Wornall House Ghost Tour takes participants on a tour describing its history and paranormal activity, including John Wornall’s wife, Eliza, whose spirit is said to remain at the house.
Paranormal investigations take place on October 22, 29, 30 and 31 from either 10 p.m. - 12 a.m. or 12 a.m. - 2 a.m. Tickets range in price but expect to pay around $50 per ticket. Be sure to reserve your spot for Wornall House Ghost Tours in advance here >>
Embark on a spooky 1 hour and 20-minute tour through the haunted Vaile Mansion located at 1500 North Liberty Street in Independence and get to know about its dearly departed inhabitants, hear about the paranormal investigations that have occurred at the mansion and learn about Victorian rituals around death.

October 28 through October 29 from 9:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., kids who visit the Kansas City Zoo can come in costume for safe trick-or-treating and Halloween-themed entertainment and activities. As an added treat, visitors can watch select animals smash pumpkins on both days, including langurs, black mangabeys, golden lion tamarins and baboons.
